About Alpha

The ALPHA Course is for everyone, both believers and those just interested, there is always more to discover about the Christian faith and how we might live better lives. The ALPHA Course provides a safe place to enquire, raise questions, share doubts or concerns and a place of equipping for those inevitable questions from our children, family and friends.

An internationally renowned course, ALPHA is ideal for those seeking Baptism or Confirmation, those returning to faith after a time of absence and a good place to bring a friend and get to know other people.

What is Alpha?
Alpha is an introductory and refresher course in the Christian Faith when we watch a talk on DVD, followed by refreshments and then an opportunity to discuss and raise questions (nobody has to say anything, nor do you need to know anything about the Bible).
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in an informal, fun and friendly environment. The Alpha course consists of a series of talks, looking at topics including 'Who is Jesus?' and 'Why and how do I pray?'

Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for everyone; no question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don’t assume any background knowledge of or belief in Christianity and everyone is welcome.

When is Alpha ?
Alpha courses usually run a couple of times each year as demand dictates. The course is also the preparation course for adults who are wishing to be confirmed.
